This short sale position update is all that matters in the short term imo. Normally, you'd expect the short sellers to be covering on a dip like this, particularly in the context of their covering up to recent highs. That they're actually adding to their shorts (3 data points increasing in size) simply confirms that this volatility isn't about reflecting fair market value, financial results, or business outlook, rather, exacerbating emotional responses is the objective.
