so let me see if I have this right ..
you are (in effect) saying that the full 70 million or so short was never really the actual short figure, because some of it was 'excess' and could be sent back whenever and without the need for any on market transaction,..
well the problem I have with this scenario, is then that the total short figure was in effect an inflated fake designed to create the impression of huge negative market sentiment when non actually existed ..
we could even wake up tomorrow and find another 'excess' 10 or 20 million has been sent back ..
honestly, the funds must think we are nothing more than mugs
so let me see if I have this right .. you are (in effect) saying...
