27,300,000 aggregate shorts reported for Thursday 5 October. It’s not clear to me to what extent that incorporates the large number of shorts taken that same day.
And 429,323 gross short sales reported yesterday but despite this the share price rose - moreover, this was nearly 10x as many short sales as the previous day.
Perhaps the influence of shorting on the sp is weakening?
