Puzzled
On the 14 stocks I track the short % borrowed on 13 of the stocks all increased by a significant amount on the same day as you refer to.
My interpretation is that this is a big player/s probably borrowing expecting the macro economic backdrop to deteriorate. I'm also mindful that they are not obliged to sell the borrowed shares on market either.
The short % sold of daily volume is lumpy and not consistently high like it was a month back.
Let's hope they sell their PNV borrowed shares to long term tight hands.
Only 52% of average 65 day volume today. Supply appears to be tight atm.
