2 drops in Shorts recorded 23rd and 24th from ~31 million to ~28.85 million or ~7.6% drop over 2 days.
Bodes well...
If they settled down the buying and slowly exit it will take 1-2 months to fully exit. By that time who knows what other positive information will pop up.
If other hold of selling now then the squeeze may become more substantial. That said the shorters have held their nerve before and some longer holders may be keen to recover some capital so there may be a lessening of pressure in the low to mid 2's
