Congratulations, I agree with your. Strategy but unfortunately didn’t take advantage of the last gyrations .
it looked / was cheap when it went below a dollar and agree at $1.67 was going to be hard to sustain but hoped with the news on the diabetic application it might crack the $2 but it didn’t so have patiently remained a LTH . The potential with existing products, geographical expansion, new implantable products and now as a core in therapeutic products it should have been able to get to $3+ .
Did well when it hit $4 last time and bought back last time it went below a $1 so not complaining and been a holder from the Calzada days so also not complaining and always been a holder rather than trader.
The bit I think that might cause the shorts pain is when a new world class CEO is appointed the board review is out and we have a more structured formalisation and confidence in the continuation of the so far successful strategy and ability to keep executing against the plan. Mr Market especially at the big end hates instability and so for many until the basics are sorted we are off their buy list but when they re enter it should create some pressure. The internal problems ( if you can 1/2 believe the commentary ) dated back to the Macquarie conference about 12 months ago , came to a head in Last October resulting in a CEO sacking in February. Coincidentally our share price came off the boil in October and crashed shortly after then the Trump healthcare scare and shorts have been on a run .
I agree underlying fundamentals of this company are sensational, directionally we are on the right path and just need to get some big strategic institutions under pinning the buy side and we will start to get back to what our value should be. I also think in the short term you will get your buy opportunity— unfortunately.
