Why would pnv pay a dividend when they have $18-25m of free cash and are in expansion mode. Gees some people really have little to no idea. PNV raised money two years ago for capex and expansion. If they now returned money to shareholders in a dividend can you see how illogical that is? Ok so they pay a $10m dividend to appease shareholders who don’t understand you can create your own dividend by just selling shares. Then a few months later business performance drops and all of a sudden they have to raise cash again.
Some contributors here spout rubbish. I would sift through and really think about which commentary is worth doing your own research on, and what is complete junk.
All you have to do is zoom out half a centimetre and you’ll understand why this company doesn’t or isn’t contemplating a dividend.
Furthermore, if the board was looking to return capital to shareholders there are more favourable ways of achieving the same outcome especially if Board considered shares to be undervalued.
