On the 15th of April, we had over 90K shorted ATHE shares. 2 weeks later almost 86K, and again 2 weeks later 35K. The latest number 2 weeks ago was 20794. Shorters got some more time by the delay of the "open study" results and that is why I think the pressure against SP has risen during the last few days. We will see if that is the case in 2 weeks.

This time the "Hidden Gems" talk may affect the SP more than during the many previous ATH presentations because we are so near the results of the open study. Perhaps the biggest change is this new brain atrophy index, the volume index. As we can see the iron content in the iron content in the BioMuse study did not increase statistically significantly in any location of the brain in 6 months, not in substantial nigra, putamen, pallidum or cerebellum. However, a significant change occurred in 6 months when the volume index was used ( not in putamen ). Even more clear atrophy was seen when the studied areas were added together.

In the open study, we have no control. The effect we would like to see is that there is no progression of the brain atrophy after 6 months. With the very small number of cases, other measures like subjective symptoms, movement analyses, and a possible reduction of neurofilament light are important. If ATH434 is a hidden gem, after 6 months of treatment the open study may demonstrate its effectiveness in MSA. Most likely one single measure is not enough but a combination of them has possibilities, IMO.
