I think your assumption is flawed, you only have to look at DDR's peer in the US Synnex. Sure they are a big player in a big market with turnover in excess of 23.8 billion , but the 2020 asset value was only US$13.5million that equates to about US$0.26/share. DDR asset value is about AUD74million that equates to AUD$0.43/share. Synnex at best paid 4 x $0.375 = US$1.5 there share price at the time was US$65 = 2.3% return . DDR payout this year will be AUD$0.375 share price $9.8 which is 3.8% return. If you where to compare this to Synnex, DDR in the US would be around $16.25. In my opinion DDR is poised for substantial growth in the future and its only the likes of shorters and fickle holders that will artificially hold the price down, this will not be sustained!
