    We've heard all these arguments before. The thing is that darn SP suggests most large holders know something you don't, the SP has barely moved since the AML case and the royal commission were announced. I have heard that CBA will use in their defence the breach of trust by AUSTRAC, where the former head of austrac gave assurances to CBA that AML cases would not be brought against them without prior warning. Hence CBA didn't waste money in solving the AML breach issues over the 3 year period, CBA was truly shocked when the interim head of AUSTRAC launched the AML case. Austrac broke their promise to give CBA a heads up.
    I think CBA has some evidence to prove Australian gave them an assurance of a fair warning prior to any AML case being brought against them.
    This seems like a case of entrapment, so CBA won't be judged as harshly as you suggest.
