The figures supplied are the shares that have been lent out. I done believe they have necessarily been sold at that time. They are just in the custodianship of someone that plans to sell at their time of choosing. Look at all the red bars that correspond to price decrease. I bet a chunk of this are the shortest trying to get the best bank for their buck (large share price drop on small volume)
