Below is the graph of the correlation coefficient of WBT share price to short volume over time.
As observed, the correlation pivots at the end of June 2023 and starts to increase. Note the relevance the date.
The correlation grows as other factors that drive share price have a lesser effect on the share price.
The shorters are then in charge of the share price with little interference from November 2023 onwards.
