Despite the 14.5% rise on Monday, the short data today for Nov 11th shows only a very small decrease in shorts. I suppose it's possible they've both closed shorts and taken up new short positions as the price increased. Who really knows what the intentions of the shorters are. Could be as simple a hedging strategy from some of the big players.
