I seriously doubt that Coby KNEW the exact identities of the buyers. I am not familiar with the regulations for a broker when dealing with a consortium, but I feel that 'client legal privilege' would have to come into it somewhere and the buyers retain anonymity. I am sure that Coby was focused on the business aspects and was more than pleasantly surprised at the offer and that nobody in their right mind would say no to it. Coby can still hurt the shorters with the announcement.
