There's nothing inherently wrong with shorting. It is more the manner in which it is conducted, especially with the prior examples of MUFG and how they are operating with their number of conflcits of interest (at least imo) with oart ownership of MS, subsidiary of First Sentier, and their own outfit simultaneously involved in short campaigns. This is open for grounds exploitation.
And here we have a misreporting which should be pursued.
It's not just a pumpers world. And the world of the pumper I reiterate has destroyed more wealth than the shorters have. A company or the share market writ large, should not operate like a ponzi scheme where things just go up after you rope your friends and family in on a story. Eventually the weighing machine kicks in and wipes everyone else. The pumpers have dumped on everyone else and disappeared selling a quartz for the price of a diamond. And run off while everyone else blames those betting on the price being that of a quartz. When you see it for what it is, its the most perverse avenue of making money out of speculation. Those here have the wrong people in their sights.
