Completely agreed here, Flec. Efficient market hypothesis I cannot get behind. Though I would argue over a long timeframe the real value is likely to be realised. As is the fundamental of value investing as described and typically realised throughout the best practisers of the method. Buffet as we know a great example. We cannot deny the track records and theory behind this as a great example of investing and how over a long timeframe the market is more likely to adequately price value. In the short term this is where mispricings are likely to occur and when those should jump on an opportunity.
We are still in a speculative stage here. Though those speculating intelligently may win out. I can't shake the concern there is a lot of unintelligent speculation going on here amongst the reasoned, logical takes that balance numbers out with the story. Those here seem to be the most arrogant and cocksure. It is only a matter of time until they lose it all if they keep playing the game. Gambler's luck.
