this is also legal and spins large amounts of profit to those involved on 'false' volume .....does not appear as short selling but has a far more damaging effect on SP value and is the scourge that is known as reverse ETF's
( I can't describe how much I detest ETFs' - they are modern day CDO's and artificially inflate asset values by a considerable percentage - trillions of falsely priced value yet to be ground out....).....'market makers' ?? ....of course it is and we all accept it as normal.....nothing could be further from the truth imo

no it is not ethical but neither is tax minimisation .....
this is from a previous post and this is directly responsible for the day volume day rallies we have all been seeing
in 2008 17billion crossed over into leveraged reverse etfs' .....year to date 2022 we're sitting at 28billion...USD there are more reverse exchange traded funds in existence today than at any other time in history
