Here's the data on Short Interest from NASDAQ site for the period Dec 12 to May 13. Can anyone explain how this works exactly? Whats the impact of "Days to cover"? ie what does it imply if the days to cover drops from 15 days to 2 days.
I get that shorting is selling shares not owned, that covering is when the shorter buys (hoping that its at a lower price).
The short interest has been steadily rising fortnight by fortnight with only a few drops. looks like it dropped again in first 2 weeks of May. A turnaround??
