Short position continued to rise last Friday 25th which is the most recent data:
Aggregate shorts from 3,733,905 (0.68%) to 4,000,806 (0.73%).
On that day, from a volume of 2,359,149 - 266,901 "extra" shares were sold - that's 11% of the days trading.
If you wonder what's keeping a lid on the price -this is certainly a factor.
