I agree that you could do alright in the example that you posted . I'm a TLS holder myself.
But , if that's all the money you had , would you put it in the stockmarket and into one share in particular ?
Putting the money in a term deposit with one of the big four is about as safe as you can get short of burying it in the backyard .
I'm not sure I would risk my house on a particular stock no matter how good it is .
I'm a stockmarket investor myself but I would never sell my house to do it .
I'm sure there are some professional investors who make more money by not owning a house . I would suggest that they are very few and far between and not posting on here.
