Taking into account the consolidation the share price for INA has gone nowhere for more than 3 years now. Part of the reason for this is that they keep issuing more and more equity. Not getting the prices they wanted for the DMF and NZ assets and that process taking a lot longer has meant a lot more new equity rather than being able to recycle capital.
One reason they might have chosen equity over debt is that with the increase in market capitalisation they must be getting close to being included in the ASX 200 which would then require the index huggers to buy in.
