Hi All. Correct me if i'm wrong (which is a big possibility). But with 30 Million shorts outstanding as at 31 of august as per shortman and selling depth of around 3 Mil shares normally wouldn't there inevitably be a squeeze on these shorts to close out their positions?

I'd appreciate any input on the following points (please let me know if they are right in theory or completely off the mark:

22.76 Mil Short on 27/08/2020 (As per Shortman)
28.98 Mil Short on 28/08/2020 (As per Shortman)
30.4 Mil Short on 28/08/2020 (As per Shortman)
With the above run up of shorts wouldn't the current price retraction be from a large amount of these shorters sell positions?

In keeping the price under the CR price of 14 cent wouldn't this mean there is unlikely to be a flood new share sales as holders are unlikely to take up their entitlements and sell. Wouldn't this likely also contribute to a future squeeze?

I don't know a lot about the shorts on offer but can anyone indicate the costs incurred by the holders? (do they incurr borrowing costs for these shares? is there a days limit they can have a short position? Are settlement costs higher than normal trades?)

I only have a small holding but have been considering buying more as I personally can see value here. I just want to get some views on the above ?

Any information is great but if the stock down rampers can hold fire and just provide factual information of the Short side of things that would be great.
