LOL. I STILL don't fully comprehend how IFL make money but thanks to your tip here on HC I've done very well trading IFL back in Feb/March. The HY div was massive and i expect it be repeated in FY result next month. I can't explain why IFL SP jumps around so much but I buy below $7.90 and intend to sell above $9.oo whilst collecting a gr div of about 40c along the way.
The scandal from last yr (which became part of a Senate hearing) smashed SP down from 10.80 to 8.40. A class action has not eventuated and over time Mkt has forgotten about what happened a year ago.
IFL will gain considerable increase to earnings from synergy benefits this FY as it brings acquisitions onto the same software platform. As i said before IFL is vulnerable (like all stks) to a collapse it world mkts but everything has some degree of risk. Brexit provided everyone with opportunity to get in or top up. Only 7 weeks to wait till year end. Will we get back above $9.oo? time will tell.
Even buying at $8.00 will produce a gr yield of 10.2% assuming divs maintained going fwd. Looking back over past 12 yrs IFL have overall record of increasing divs so here's hoping.
