It is possible to make money on a falling stock, just as it is possible to make money on a rising stock. No one is more right or wrong for doing so. We are all in this game to make money, simple as that. It doesn't matter how you do it.
Anyone making money should be congratulated.
Anyone 'blaming' shorters for making money need to take a more un-biased look at their own financial objectives and their reasons for sitting in front of the computer screen pressing 'buy' and 'sell' buttons.
