I am just wondering if the inference is that the beneficiaries are 'pushing' the prices down by shorting, could that be seen as manipulating the SP so close to a major transaction announcement. After all if one of the major holders (5%+) shorted, wouldn't that changes their net holding and they have to report to ASX. Does CFD counts as share holding reductions? Can a company be shorting and be a potential bidders? CFSs' are not real shares so technically should not be govern by ASX take over rules, should it?
I am just wondering if the inference is that the beneficiaries...
