I'm not sure what you mean by "loan of shares are done on a buy back basis" and how that might answer my question sorry. Is that meant to be an answer the question about how shorts are reported in relation to total shares owned / shares lent out?

I'm not sure of the reason of the rest of the comments. I'm not panicking/winging/concerned about day to day manipulation, and as far as I can see no one in this thread is.

Likewise no one is talking about day to day movements. The topic is regarding the sustained downward trend has been happening for over 6 months now.

I am long, and simply curious about the potential reasons for the long sustained / over 6 months downtrend of a stock price of a company that is on the cusp of such "great" things...and curious to how and who would have the "courage" to short a stock like this....

I do get that the macro and management delays have played into the decline but no one knew this back in March. when the shorts first started rising.

Thus the interest in the potential who / why and how....
