I spoke to a friend today who works at Origin about the BTEX contamination and she assured it is nothing to worry about. As the announcement states BTEX is found in a host of petroleum products and the likely candidate is apparently drilling equipment that wasn't cleaned properly. ORG decided to do the right thing and disclose it before coming to a conclusion on where it was coming from.
As a caveat I was told that it could be a serious problem if the BTEX was coming from condensate which shouldn't of being escaping form the seams or something along those lines. I didn't quiet follow the technical speak so I can't really explain it any better. Sorry
