Why would they have to choose? because you think Visa and master card are going to ask for more merchant fees?

It hurts them also if they are accepted less places and they aren't offering a service like after pay is.

If Visa or Mastercard started offering a delayed payment card then I would agree with you, but they don't have that risk appetite as it means holding risk on money.

They will probably wait and see what happens to after pay as a bleeding edge company and implement after.. like they did with direct debit (interac invented that and are still doing business now..)
