    Exactly my point - Banks do charge interchange fees, they are controlled on max value. It was based on RBA mandate.

    So now the card providers can go to RBA and say to them, look these merchants dont mind paying extra and they are already doing it, so why cant we charge them more. It is exactly the same thing.
