Opened a MASSIVE short on this company. It is WAaayyy overvalued. Net Profit for 2018 is barely above water. To be valued in the $2billion range means net profits of 200 - 300 $m. Good luck with that. A valuation in the $1 billion range maybe possible with very high growth earnings tapering to around 150m per year in 7 years time but NOT 2 billion. Plus their announcements are a little sketchy.. e.g. 10% of Australian having used Afterpay, I'd question that. Also keep in mind this is a low margin model, most people aren't going to default on their loans, and so that's no money for AFT. You potentially have a high revenue business, but it won't equat to $300m per year profits at least not for a LONG while anyway. I've never seen such an obvious short in a long time..
