On their last presentaion they showed on the map that they were planning it for Guyane as well. EM has been around for many years, but the latest EM techniques are apparently effective in deepwater areas in confirming charge. Statoil and Exxon have spent quite a bit developing these systems.
New variations on this are being toyed with for onshore lately, but are yet to be proven commercially.
