According to the people over at Ozestock it is legal to short PTD. I wouldnt know - I didnt think that you could legally short any stock in Australia (other than via derivatives).
Anyway, if the scenario is as you say then PTD will be in for another hammering tomorrow.
I am told that there is plenty of margin borrowing against PTD. I would think that a number of phones will be ringing with the bad news (margin calls) between now and tomorrows open.
