What does it matter if MFS was shorted?

What would the effect be today if it wasn't - instead of having your shares frozen at 99c they may be frozen at $2, $3, $4 or whatever.

The fact of the matter is that MFS/OCV is broke. The business model did not work. Nothing that shortsellers did sent it broke.
