I’m curious to gauge everyone’s opinions on shorting small cap oil and gas stocks, especially new IPO’s. I know of many companies still trying to get on the boards when this type of environmentally destructive activity is the last thing the planet needs right now. Larger stocks are basically untouchable unless targeted by major institutions, but smaller ones are vulnerable. If you are running a company in or are invested in this space, you deserve to get zero’d out. The only question is will you. I have identified a few opportunities where a short could be lucrative and productive in terms of stopping the drilling, together with a small group of investors we will be moving forward with this approach. If people are interested I can share these opportunities as they present themselves.
