We are always subjected to claims that the posters shares are not doing well because of manipulaters and short sellers. No explanation ever seems to be given for how short selling can keep shares low forever. It just seems to be a fact we are expected to believe without evidence. The fact that major funds are prepared to lend their shares so that someone can short them would seem a very foolish strategy if shorting could in fact have a a long term effect on the shares.
