I understand shorting very well and even the banks get shorted.
Buying shares in a stock and then lending those shares to anybody or organisation for a piddling sum is just shorting your own money.
A very modern approach, put your assets up for sale and then undercut the price to get a tiny premium while the people borrowing ie the instos are using them to make millions.
Good game huh.
