shorters don't get paid to hold the price down.
investors need money for all sorts of reasons in life... new house, new car, tax debts..sometimes a deferred debt finally catches up and investors have to sell at the worst time.
second guessing all the time drives you mad.. 99.9 % of it is unfounded and almost always completely wrong.
just accept that you are in a dog of a stock and either sit it out or move on.
if you sit out, be prepared for the long haul with this one. iMO.
