Yeah I think you are right. When a director is lending out his own shares to allow for short selling doesn't bode well for shareholders on 2 fronts: 1. Means the Board and probably mgmt. are dodgy and 2. clearly shorting 1 mill shares with probably 4 mill to come is going to kill the company eventually.
I guess on the plus side this is not hard to figure out and its easy to exit before the short selling really ramps up.
