Would have thought this is stating the obvious. This does not mean however that most companies that are shorted are frauds.
The majority are not but I would expect most companies found out to be frauds will have been shorted to the hilt as inside information is use to advantage.
Naked shorting should be illegal. More liquidity doesn't necessarily equate to more stability.
