If the ASX don't re-introduce short selling later this year or after the rot passes then they are very foolish. More likely our esteemed treasurer won't allow it to be reintroduced.
Short selling is a very important financial tool for mitigating downside. It can help avoid stockmarket crashes and panic selling. It leads to a much more stable market, whether or not you agree with it.
