    Less than 2% (about 1.7%) of China's total reserves are represented by gold.

    That is hardly hoarding.

    I based this off total reserves of US$3.18 trillion vs aproximately $55 billion in gold bullion.

    I am happy to be corrected on these numbers if I am wrong and happy for you to concede the point if I am right.
