More water in the soil and more farming around Chatree would be their point.
The government's round-about explanation for the issue was - water leaking from the tailings dam into the rocks below the tailings dam, accelerating the natural leeching already existing cyanide from those rocks, into the water table. I don't think they proved it though, more-so coming up with 'any' justification for the closure. Kingsgate reported hundreds of issues with that paid research report, then we didn't hear more about it (the arbitration panel would have heard lots about it, from both sides).
