If we were to assume a future worse case asset-rich and cash-flow-poor scenario would convertible notes be a viable funding option ? If correct in assuming that the impact on the balance sheet of a convertible debit is different to that of a loan I was wondering if this type of funding arrangement could serve to stabilise the SP in a manner that a dilution would not and maybe even flush out a few short holdings in the process ? Could not find a real life ASX case study to work with and the funding process way beyond by underwriting and accounting skills so any thoughts feel free to add.
