Have been suggesting this for a while now, and in reality I can’t see a way that approx 60 million shares shorted could be purchased to close positions without pushing the share price higher.
It would take many many days of above average trading volume just to close out these positions let alone account for regular investors who want to purchase.
Plus a lot of current holders who are waiting for signs of a confirmed uptrend before we start buying more.
