Agree with your view re possible/probable price manipulation by Chinese - but against that I'd say that the quality of product from Mt Weld has been touted as the best in the world. Clients/users are also prepared to pay for surety of supply. If China are going to play games with prices and, therefore supply? - and other viable alternatives are available - LYC again look very attractive. Its also anticipated that demand for REE will outstrip supply (including China) by as early as 2011.
Longer term wil be the go and entry at these levels is a great opportunity - as long as you are prepared to buy and hold.
