We don't necessarily have to depend on the broader quantum industry's fortunes in the market to determine AXE's relevance or indeed the SP.AXE has hedged its bets in some good ways.

Leaving aside the separate biochip vertical there's other opportunities that the carbon quantum film is pointing to.

This slide was in the 2023 presentation. Leading with a Room temperature processor is bold and ambitious. it also pushes the finish line further out. To get from big freeze quantum chip to room temp chip is not impossible in theory. Make some high quality qubits. Characterize their energy states. Construct logical or virtual qubits based on the actual physical ones. This involves layers of algorithms to cancel out thermal and other noise, background radiation etc. Introducing a lot of classical computational overhead. Some of this can be streamlined with machine learning algorithms. But will in turn need to be trained by the specific qubit features. All to prove that quantum computing works at room temp. Works at a very basic level. Will need more hardware/software engineering to get some logic gates and actual usefulness. No way to speed up this work for now. Takes years. This is in fact how big freeze quantum works whether at Google or IBM or anywhere state of the art. AXE wants to take more of this compute out of the freezer than anyone has so far. One day, when we have a CEO, he/she will I hope do a great job clarifying and taking questions on this.

btw on a side note, the photonics and diamond quantum set ups don't need cold temps but take up space with lasers ,I remember ex CEO Mohammad Choucair highlighting this, not as compact as the small quantum chip. AXE uses subatomic particles, electrons as qubits. Highly susceptible to the tiniest disturbances.

In 2024 AXE developed the carbon quantum film, CQF with some promising features. Clusters of electrons, high density, therefore a more reliable read out. Higher fidelity read out. Also stable in a given energy state for longer times. Longer coherence times helps to deliver high quality qubits. After Google's willow demonstrated that grouping of qubits can help to reduce algorithmic adjustments for error correction, it has boosted the chances that AXE can leverage similar properties in its carbon quantum films. Shorter term, the CQF as a sensor has good prospects. Quantum sensors is an established market and the CQF brings higher sensitivities and potentially highly accurate results for use cases. Sensors work in many temperature ranges. Are not restricted to cold temps since they don't perform computations.

So strategy has shifted at AXE. it's geared towards much shorter term products. There's also a stated aim to explore a lot more uses.

The 12CQ development is the longer term project and has just made some major strides prompting late 2025 and H1 2026 goals. But my question is, if this will again shift strategy. All told AXE has 15 full time people spread across 12CQ, sensor and biochip sensor work. If AXE's work catches the attention of some big player, the 12CQ path might quickly start to make sense. Otherwise the sensors are a perfect hedge for the quantum strategy. One way or the other I don't think we will have long to wait to find out which sees traction first.

All this in my opinion of course.
