They've never demonstrated the ability to generate a profit. So why would a $50m EV be surprising for a poentially worthless operation? No one is going to make a takeover offer for SYR at current maket cap if they have no faith that the existing operation can be profitable and there has been no indication that management understands how to achieve that.
they have also not made a business case for the downstream processing facility so that has next to no value right now.
