@rallyman ... thank you for your explanation. Cant get my head around why a) and b) both make 50% on cross trading but can see them both making money on the way down and then cross trading so they are both holding the same number shares as at the beginning.
Then when there is good times they do the same process as SP rises and all the time they are in the same position as normal stock holders except they have earnt millions. I think in a way it shows confidence in Syr as the shorters believe SP will recover as they would not trade in a stock that was only going to go down.
