The reported short data on ASX is just gross short sales on a specific date. It is very rough data. Some short positions might have already been closed on the same day. Anyway,for retail traders like us, it is still a good indication of the market sentiment. We do not have the source of more accurate data. As it is getting closer to the report date, we should see more price correction during the following days as most of people agree that BTA is currently undervalued.
