Just curious which stock are you referring to here.......? It's hard to offer an informed discussion when just looking at one drill hole in isolation................

    But essentially it means this:

The logged drill 'core' material they refer to here when assayed contained an average of 1.91 grams per ton of gold, this grade was the average found over a length of 34 meters starting at a depth from surface of 16m. In addition the drill 'core' then returned a second zone of mineralization from 72m depth which graded an average of 1.14 grams per ton over a 4m length.

So the hole hit two gold mineralized horizons.

Things to know or consider in general:

The sections of any drill hole will grade higher and others lower, regardless of the mineral being looked at, its the nature of geology.......

There is a thing called 'grade smearing' you might want to look into also............ideally you need to evaluate the 1m splits or detailed hole/grade data which are generally given in appendices of such announcements.

If a company doesn't include such detail in their announcements they should get pulled up by the ASX but this doesn't happen all the time, and it might take a while for such an error to be rectified, so be cautious if detailed logging and assay tables are not included as such information will give you a much better picture of what's actually going on.

    Side note:

    • These are low grade gold hits from relatively shallow depths...........the 34m at 1.91gt from 16m is a decent and wide low grade section and possibly bulk mineable......but in isolation and without more data its impossible to say.

Hope that helps you some. Feel free to ask more if you're not sure. There are plenty of people on HC that have a great knowledge base on mining and mineral exploration and how to interpret such things, most are more than happy to share their knowledge.

I'm no expert.............just self taught over the years.
